From Sexy Clothes to Mystic Mask

From Sexy Clothes

to Mystic Mask

There is more to this ‘mask’ than meets the eye. Read a curtain raiser write up

By Mukesh Sharma

Man comes to earth in his ‘birthday suit’. In early days of human evolution, he would move around buck naked. The natural sensation in erogenous zones on human body at the sight of opposite sex, made man to feel the need of wearing the loin cloth  – it helps to hide the copulative desires, and passes him for a man of ‘good’ character.

There is more to this ‘mask’ than meets the eye

With the course of time and material advancement, other wears were developed. However, the ‘sex’ was the basis of all the clothing – woman clothes were suitable for woman body – helpful in giving nature’s call and perform quickly and comfortably other ‘acts’ – man’s clothes too were made with compatibility to male ‘needs’. Further clothes were developed to give the man a distinctive identity related to region, tradition, culture, profession and position. In other words, each clothes  worn by the man serves specific purpose.

Now the mystic mask has also joined the wardrobe of the man. Unlike other wears designated for man and woman separately, the mask is not sexist. Irrespective of colour or country, region or religion, rich or poor, it treats all equally. What genius like Karl Marx couldn’t do, the petty mask has done. Right from Donald Trump to common tramp pissing around on the roads of Indian cities, everyone wear mask. Mask is a great leveler.

Though the common man doubts the efficacy of mask being used for the prevention of spread of corona, for,  the tinniest virus can pass through any porous fabric, he sees a big ‘’conspiracy and million dollar business behind the mask”, particularly, in India.

Big names like Reebok, Levis, Nike, etc with good ‘understanding’ with the authorities have flooded the market, allegedly with the “non standard branded fancy masks.” Middle class always takes pride in using branded stuff in India. Even private schools have come up with their own mask going with the uniform of their school. It is easy to squeeze parents.

To hospitals and doctors, it is a “roaring business” behind the mask. Surprisingly enough, India stands at No.2 in the world for corona cases but recovery rate is over 88 per cent that too without the availability of medicine/treatment. No developed country has performed such a ‘grand feat’. What is more, there are news reports  that reveal that government hospitals are not fully equipped to tackle corona; a  great number of hospitals lack oxygen, ventilators, beds, etc. Sources reveal besides donation of  thousands of crores to PM fund by Indians,  India also got $2.9mn from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and  World Bank  aproved $1bn corona fund to India. However,  the poor people are charged for COVID test and treatment, for the reasons best known to ‘honest’ netas only. For VIPs/VVIPs treatment is free of charge. Even if vaccine hits the market, people doubt that govt. can make it available for all. By an estimate, 80,000 crores would be needed to vaccinate all. In a country where a sizable number of populace struggling  with deadliest disease ‘hunger’, it is doubtful that government would spend the estimated whopping sum for the containment of corona.

‘Dutiful’ police, the next 'regiment' of corona ‘warriors’ which has been given free hand, always remains on its toe to ‘salute’ the mighty, and ‘sanitize’ the commoner with danda and ‘comfort-fee’. People allege brisk ‘businesses behind the mask.

People contend  that in this this tough and trying time, only government servants who have secured jobs, fat salary and no work, have been enjoying life. Private giant players like Amazon(Jeff Besos, US), Ambani, Hinduja, Shiv Nadar, Adani, Azim Premi,  even in COVID situation have amassed wealth. Rest more or less are doomed.  But all 'hon’bles' as ever are busy in discussion and suggestions. Here in India words speak louder than action. Thanks to media, the mouth piece of elitist and political class.

Duly and democratically elected government with 30-40 per cent vote share armed with managed magic numbers  is busy working overtime in passing bills after bills in the Parliament where the most of the session scores of seats remain empty – 'devoted and diligent' law makers remain busy in other more important 'public' activities than the parliament session. Notwithstanding, laws are made for the common peoples, the mighty rules the law. Indian netas have mastered the ‘rules' of the 'game’ precisely and perfectly from the wily Britisher who ruled for 200 years and bled the Indians for every penny through bills/laws. Always preoccupied with the politics of brinkmanship and one-upmanship , netas are successfully using ‘mask’ to hide all failings – low GDP, unemployment, alleged rampant corruption at implementation level by over smart government officials, widespread poverty and hunger in flood affected areas etc. There is more to this mystic mask than meets the eye.

Netas Abuse the System

Systematic Abuse of the System

Everything is hunky-dory. India belongs to people of India. But the naked reality is netas control the life of the common man by abusing the system systematically

By Mukesh Sharma

What is law? Professionally, law can be described as ‘perfection of reasons’. Any act against the law is a violation and that attracts the penalty/punishment. And the corpus of law creates the system where equality before the law is suggested; nobody is above the law; law takes its own course; there is rule of law in the country. However, it’s all book/table talk. On the ground, the system created by the law is ‘lawfully’ abused by the political dispensation so called government  -  the wily netas who are at the helm of affairs, have enough leeway to tweak and twist the system to serve their own interest and narrow ends. Resigned to fate, the common man who has no say in the system, accepts it out of no option.

All the human acts which fall under any category of crime from Section 1 to 511 as defined and described in Indian Penal Code (IPC) 1860 postulated and penned down by the genius Thomas Babington Macaulay, constitute the crime  - cognizable or non cognizable. It is known as Substantive Law. Further, how State can proceed against an act of crime, has been spelled out in Criminal Procedure Code ( Cr Pc). It’s called Adjective Law. What constitutes evidence against an act of crime which is acceptable in the court of law, is given in Evidence Act. Further the judgment passed by the Appellate Courts - High Courts and Supreme Court in any case, sets a precedent and becomes an Established Law creating a binding on Lower Courts too. The genius lies in manufacturing reasons. The inability to think beyond the reasons makes one accept it as his/her destiny. Nothing rules the human psyche like the reasons.

Netas Abuse the System

In the name of the system, hydra-headed government also has scores of ‘hands’ like proverbial Ravana; it can reach to any ‘target’ however far it is. Each hand is vested with purposeful special powers to perform the ‘lawful duties’ -  Local Police, Crime Branch, Economic Offence Wing(EOW), Enforcement Directorate ( ED), National Investigation Agency ( NIA), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Income Tax, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) etc. Netas can ‘amputate’ or ‘attach' the hands. These long "hands’ have the expertise in manufacturing the reasons to nail down their 'target' with all impunity – no punishment if the ‘target’ is wrongfully arrested, implicated or framed. By the time the hon’ble Court reaches to the conclusion that the ‘target’ is not guilty, the life of an innocent is already devastated and doomed beyond ‘repair’. Moreover, only netas  in government have powers to nominate or remove the ‘head’ of each ‘hand’ and these ‘hands’ act as puppets in the hands of netas. The cases to prove the veracity of these facts are numerous.

Obviously, no crime can occur and flourish without the direct or indirect support of the long ‘hand’. It is like a case where a young man and a woman are allowed to have ‘romance’. Even when a child is born, long ‘hand’ looks the other way round. However, if the ‘relationship’ is exposed by the media, of course, with some vested interest, long ‘hand’ turns ‘duteous’ overnight –  child is rated as illegitimate. The poor man is charged with rape; the woman is sent to naarineketan for further chastisement. Here, the system is FIR first investigation later; hang the accused first and hear him later. It’s a fact that the criminal justice system prevalent in India which is, allegedly, coercive and suppressive and propagated by the Britisher with ulterior motive for their subjects (Indians).

The next indispensable part of the system, the overburdened and understaffed judiciary is allegedly in shamble. At lower Courts cases drag on for years. Justice delayed is justice denied. Netas can get the gates of SC/HC opened even in the dead of night where this ‘sanctum sanatorium is, unofficially, beyond the reach of the common man. At district level judges are appointed through competitive exams, but they are promoted to HC/SC through a so-called collegiums comprised of senior judges and netas – people contend that it’s difficult to believe that it is free from all kinds of bias and prejudices.

Political parties are the necessary evil in so-called democracy; the most of such parties are headed by a loud-mouthed and rough spoken neta so called ‘president; the party is run like a private company where baton is passed on to the legal heir of the president – all family business. Steeped in corruption, these parties amass wealth through unquestioned and unexamined tax free ‘donations’ in the multiple of 20k and through undisclosed multiple sources. When in power, big companies and even nationalized banks give ‘donations’ to the NGOs, run by the political parties’ family members. Each has hundreds of crore in its coffer to organize and play the ‘game’. Plethora of political parties, evidently, have marred the democracy. Since there is no free vote, the legislative members of these political parties in Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha and State Assembly act like ‘gangs’ – follow whips and party line – no debate or discussion – a roadside like row can be witnessed in the temple of democracy. Better to call these parties as the ‘pall bearer of democracy’.

The media which is eulogized as the Fourth Estate is partisan. The most of the newspapers/TV channels side with one or other political party according to their vested interest; they are no longer surrogate of public opinion; they are the mouthpiece of netas only. They bark and bray for their favourite neta/pol party only. Even if they expose something, they do so with a specific purpose/motive - bring discredit to opponents of their ‘god father’.

Education system based on format and rote learning is also controlled by the netas. Scratch any private institution, one would find a neta underneath. Right from school to college and professional courses, it is all a lucrative business. The way the private universities have mushroomed over the years authenticates the fact. It is alleged that degrees are up for grab for a price.

The ever struggling and squirming, the hapless student community always remains at receiving end. According to NCRB data, over 10,000 students committed suicide last year – average 28 lives are lost each day. Students allege a lucky few who have well wishers at high places manage to get into government services, and the rest end up being a ‘fodder’ for private companies  - no appointment letters, just offer letter, 12 -14 hours work and no other benefits – well ‘managed’ authorities sleep comfortably on the complaint if  a harassed one dares to make complaint. That is why the meritorious students, who have resources, wish to settle in US/UK/Canada  – brain drain is rampant.

Just 15-20 giant business houses hold the strings of economy of India – GDP, Share market, fall and rise of economy – majority of people are not in the loop; unofficially over 60 per cent populace is below the poverty line struggling for their daily bread. The false promises by the netas for potable water, roads, toilet, modest house, loan, loan waiver and other petty sops –  all bare necessities make the wily netas win election after election with no change in the plight of the unblessed masses. It is argued that if India has Rs. 100 out of which Rs 80 are with 20 percent people, and Rs 20 are with 80 percent populace – root cause of crime in India.

The banks too are important part of the system. Its open secret that all big banks advance loan with many ‘concession’ to big names only.  A common man cannot get a loan of few lakhs without good ‘understanding’ with the manager.

Except a few exceptions, medical facilities are worst, particularly, in government run hospital. It is alleged that with job security and no accountability, government servants behave as if they are master of public; they are scared of the netas only. The poor populace is always taken for a ride. Medicines are prescribed on the basis of ‘rational therapy’ – no negligence case. Medicines are sold over the counters. Big pharmaceuticals companies mint money. They can ‘manage’ any ‘authority’ with the ‘cuts’ at different levels. In this corona time several cases of malpractices/medical crimes have been exposed accidentally and reported. But who cares. Game goes on and on , allegedly, with the 'blessings' of netas.

Under the system, it is not easy to start a business unless one has political and social clouts. If one dares to start, one must learn how to ‘manage’ and ‘feed’ the ‘predators’ – Police, local Municipalities, Electricity department, Income tax, etc,. For each Rs 100 earning, one has to cough up Rs 60 and be content with Rs. 40 only. It is systematic ‘official’ loot.

There is no effective grievance redressal mechanism. The most of the vet departments have outsourced it to ‘BPOs’. The complaint of a complainant is usually forwarded to the same official/ department against whom one has complaint. The official concerned / department concerned files its explanations, and the copy of that is forwarded to complainant and chapter is closed for good. One keeps banging against the wall.

Everything is hunky-dory. India belongs to people of India. But the naked reality is netas control the life of the common man by abusing the system.

Americans Fly Hot air Balloons and Indian Kites

Americans Fly Hot air
Balloons and Indians Kites

With incessant smart hard work, patience and perseverance, anyone can become a good KITE MAKER, a better KITE RUNNER and the best KITE FLYER. One can touch the sky; it’s not so high

By Mukesh Sharma

The American are fond of flying hot air balloons, particularly, in Arizona State of US, on any day of still wind in the evening during winter, and in the morning during summer. And Indians love to fly kites whenever they feel like especially on the occasions like 15th August, Independence Day of India where the sky is studded with tri-colors kites and kite flyers take on one another in self style and self-instituted one-to-one match. Kite flying up in air are snapped and the falling kites are looted - the most hilarious ‘hunt’ for the fallen kites among the youngsters.Man loves spoil sport.

But what is noteworthy, flying hot balloons reflects American living style and social system. Each balloon rises up, and rises under its own steam. With their eyes set on rising air balloons, the crowd of onlookers cheers for the balloon flyer for reaching a good height. Here the contestants never ever think of bringing down the balloons of one another. It is maintained that in the vast expense of sky, there is room for each balloon. Each has the right to touch the dizzy height. One must be envious not jealous.

Americans Fly Hot air  Balloons and Indians Kites

It is observed that right from childhood, American kids are taught to respect the rights of others; they are made aware of their duties towards self and society. Irrespective of race, caste or creed, the spirit of fellow-feeling is inculcated. Kids are brought up with strict discipline; they are taught to take decisions and to be responsible; they are taught to assert their individuality. The dignity of labour and social discipline is the hallmark of American life. People exchange pleasantries even with the man of lowest rank and don’t mind doing even menial work of their home. No household servant culture. If a child makes mistake, it is made to realize it; it is made to feel that it must mend its ways and must swear never to repeat the mistake. Sorry and thanks are inevitable part of day-to-day life. Good work brings kudos. Rewards are earned. Undeserved gifts are never conferred on.

Surprisingly enough, be it he or she, children over 18 leave their parents’ house; they do petty jobs to meet their own expenses; they live by themselves; they learn to live as an individual not as a son or daughter of a rich father or mother. Society is the best teacher and the world is the best school. The struggling men and women proudly say: “My father is rich man but I am not.” It shows their fighting spirit. They know they have to redeem themselves. Even the Donald Trump is said to have started his real estate business in his younger days by taking a ‘loan’ from his well off father. And loans are paid off.

On other hand kite-flying by Indians reflects the Indian life style and social system. Unlike the hot air balloon that usually goes up in still wind and is wafted by the current of wind at high altitude, a kite flies against the blow of the wind. The flyer manoeuvers it; however high it goes, it remains ‘leashed’to the hand of flyer with a string. Further, once a kite is air borne, it always faces ‘mortal’ threats from other kites in the sky; it cannot float free for a longer time. There are always chances that it might get snapped by any other kite to usurp its position. Kill to survive is the rule of the game. Resigned to ‘fate’, snapped kite has a free fall. Down on the ground, finder keeper is the buzz-word. Loot is lawful.

The rules of kite flying game hold true to Indian survival society also. Parents are over possessive and protective about their kids. Children grow up in a cloistered life. ‘I’ , ‘my father’ and ‘my family’ are oft-repeated words that feed the ego of a child. He or she grows up as an egoist. Further successful parents on a high social ladder always have unquenchable lust for money; more and more money is made and amassed not just for the children but for great great grandchildren - wealth for seven generations. Proud parents wish to leave a rich legacy for their children  - a secured family wealth and business which is guarded by elitist ego. Here it gives birth to NEPOTISM which is accepted in the Indian society as a birth right. Likes of Sushant Singh Rajput falls victim to deadly nepotism. And likes of Rahul Gandhi basks in the past glory of his parents and family. Talent withers well before the full bloom.

Statistically speaking, one can rise to any height, if one is a diligent KITE MAKER, deft KITE RUNNER and devilish KITE FLYER, particularly, in India. Netas are perfect example of this “kite flying’ game in India.

In this age of cut-throat competition and confliction, kite-flying is the need of the hour. As a kite flies against the wind, one must learn to go ahead despite oddities in life. Never give up. Never give in without fight. Know thyself. Discover your strength and weakness. Make your weakness your strength and give life a good fight with DS (double strength).  With incessant smart hard work, patience and perseverance, anyone can become a good kite maker, a better kite runner, and the best kite flyer. One can touch the sky; it is not so high.

Immortal Ravana

Immortal Ravana

Ravana is no longer the mythological rakchhsa; he is a  wily 'businessman' today; he is nobody’s fool when it comes to business. Ravana is a great peddler of promises; he is a hustler of hope

By Mukesh Sharma

From time immemorial, Dussehra is being celebrated as a victory of Good over Evil. The effigy of Ravana is set on fire amid huge cheering crowd watching the ‘act’ with all gusto and gaiety. While covering such a 'gala' day,  this blogger happened to have overheard an interesting conversation between a child and his father yesterday. “Was Ravana a bad guy?” asks a child surprisingly. “Yes beta,” the father answers caressingly. “All bad men must be burnt to death” the child murmurs with the mirth. When violence is legitimized, it becomes custom, and even a king follows the custom. It is known to all that Lord Rama killed Ravana. Did Rama really kill Ravana? Was it really a victory of good over evil? If my valued readers ask me, the answer is ‘no’. If Lord Rama had killed Ravana, there would not have been Ravanas in legion today. If it had been the victory of Good over Evil, it(evil) would not have been all pervasive today. Lord Rama might have killed the mortal body of Ravana; his spirit lives on. Ravana is immortal.

Immortal Ravana

Since the day of Lord Rama, Ravana has come of the age; he doesn’t have long mustaches; he doesn’t wear crown; he doesn’t dress himself as a king; he doesn’t laugh loudly.

On the contrary, Ravana doesn’t call himself a king but the people look upon him as king; he doesn’t use any arms but he uses his words as arms. Ravana’s bark is worse than his bite.

Ravana wears simple kurta-pyjama but his gesture are very complex; he never speaks truth but the people accept his words as truth; he never helps anybody but he never says no for help; he calls himself servant of people, but he lives like a king and his masters (the people) reel under poverty; he doesn’t do any work but his wealth continues to get multiplied every year; he looks like a mortal man with limited capacity but his words are heard all over the world where the voice of the common people can't be heard beyond a few steps;  he is not God but he has the power to write or change the destiny of the people.

Ravana is no longer the mythological rakchhsa; he is wily businessman today; he is nobody’s fool when it comes to business. Ravana is a great peddler of promises; he is a hustler of hope; he owns political parties for his political ambitions; he owns big business houses; he owns  newspapers and TV channels; he owns universities and colleges; he owns big coaching centres. It is an irony that the people have faith in Ravana. Faith knows no reason.

Ravana is above caste and creed; he knows no religion; he never fights himself but can get killed millions – Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, etc. are the example of his 'benevolent' acts, and he says it is for the 'salvation' of the people.

Some religious minded people offer prayer as per their religious belief in  Temple, Mosque, Gurudwara and Church etc. They hope that once again Lord Rama would come to earth and kill Ravana,  and emancipate the humanity. But the possibility is remote. The people are not able to understand the simple fact that  one Lord Rama is not enough to eliminate millions of Ravana today.

Despite all the facts, the people organize Ramleelas with all religious fervor. Dussehra is celebrated with all fanfare. What is interesting to note that in all these so-called Ramleelas,  Ravana himself comes in the guise of Lord Rama in white clothes and shoots arrow to kill the Ravana. Strange are the ways of the world. Ravana burns the effigy of Ravana. Hope my valued reader can guess about the true identity of Ravana in today’s world.

‘Gods’ of Earth

‘Gods’ of Earth

If supreme God has created this universe and its’ all the creatures, Netas have, categorically, created countries, and thus they control the destiny of all the human beings on the earth

By Mukesh Sharma

The teeming millions were spurred to vote in the name of democracy to elect their so called ‘representatives’ in the recently concluded general election in India. Further, over 8000 formally invited VIP guests witnessed the ceremonial ‘coronation’ of a few blessed elected eligibles as Hon’ble Prime Minister and ministers in the palatial precinct of Rastrapati Bhavan, well in accordance with the holy ‘rule book.’ And, as usual the poor populace which is eulogized as ‘masters’ by the netas, remained glued to TV channels and watched the grand and gala show of deification of ‘servants’ as Gods of India. Needless to say, the situation is same throughout the world, and collectively, the netas of all the countries can be called as ‘ Gods’ of the earth.

Virtual 'Gods' of the Earth

If supreme God has created this universe and its’ all the creatures, the netas have categorically created the countries, and thus they control the destiny of all the human beings. A few such Indian ‘gods’ are alleged to have bifurcated India into Pakistan and Hindustan. Dance of death and destruction can be seen in many parts of the world being ravaged by war or civil wars: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mexico, Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, Libya, Pakistan, Egypt, Congo, Yemen and Ukraine. Of course, it is not Supreme God but these virtual gods of earth who are responsible for the sorry plight of the people across the world.

The agnostics maintain that unseen god is just a religious perception; no living man has ever seen the God; no living man has ever met the God. The belief is born when material logic ends. God is just an indispensable hope of the weak man. Since man is a creature of hope and he breathes and lives by hope, in fact the hope is personified as God.

The believers contend that God has made the sun, the earth, the moon and all the visible or invincible, known or unknown innummerable planets and stars, and of course the whole boundless universe. However, one of the most respected and renowned members of scientists fraternity and a vocal champion of the ‘Big Bang’ theory Stephen Hawking says: “I think the universe was spontaneously created out of nothing, it is not the work of any so-called God.”

Anyway, let us not get into this endless debate who created this universe. But one thing is crystal clear that these netas have drawn the geographical boundaries on the earth, and have divided this beautiful planet into countries. Today earth houses 195 countries. Obviously, these netas are the gods of their respective countries.

Once ‘defied’, these ‘gods’ visit their ‘temples’ (ministries) with all airs and graces. The ‘temple’ is decked up with flowers. The army of assistants of these ‘gods’, usually known as principal secretaries, additional secretaries, joint secretaries etc. line up at the very entrance to welcome the ‘god’ with bouquets. Such is the sanctity of these sanctum  sanctoriums that no common man can ever dare to dream to enter.

Whenever, these gods move in or out of their respective  temples, they are followed by the convoy of cars occupied by gun-totting well-touted commandos, surprisingly, for the security of the gods. A commoner can’t get even near to these gods; any misadventure shall send the intruder to jail.
These gods are truly omnipresent; wherever they go or whatever they do, can be seen on TV channels from any corner of the earth. These gods are truly omniscient; they have answers to all the question of journos or the people; they sound like oracles. These gods are truly omnipotent; they can move heaven and earth just by fluttering their eyelashes.

Evidently enough, the supposedly supreme God can only create celestial bodies or the creatures inhabiting such bodies, but these virtual gods of earth control the destiny of the creatures; they have full control over the past, present and future of the poor earthlings.

Devils of Democracy

Devils of Democracy

Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know

By  Mukesh Sharma

They are ‘super-humans’. Though they look like human-beings in shape, size and form, they are endowed with phenomenal powers. Their unfounded utterances can be heard all over the world through their mouthpiece media. Their public acts which are mostly charm offensive, can be seen by teeming millions from every nook and corner of the world through TV channel. They manage to get the blind support of seemingly sizable number of Zombie-like supporters who are said to have surrendered their souls to their respective devils in return of certain favours. Of course, they are none other than the Devils of Democracy.

Devils of Democracy

In epics, parables, fables or fairy tales, these devils have been given different names: Satan, vampire, evil spirits, he-wolf. Rakchhas, Asuras, etc. In the age of Kings and Queens, they were known as robbers, dacoits, looters or marauders. But today, in so-called democracy,  devils are recognized and respected as netas, leaders or politicians.

The most of the devils are well-built, and are born with dynastic leanings. They appear as a  common human, but they possess several ‘uncommon’ qualities. Devoid of phobias,  devils  are stage-conquerors; they have gift of gab; with their suave talks and glib tongue, they can convince, confuse or corrupt anybody. Each devil has his own army of so-called ‘party-workers’; these workers  are paid in cash or kind; they are used to create a perception that their respective ‘devil’ is Devta; he is a redeemer; he is a messiah. Though  devils are not God, they are not less than God. With his clouts, a devil can make life of a commoner heaven or hell.

It seems that the most of the devils are blessed sons of goddess  Lakshmi; they have umpteen independent source of income; they roll in money. In rarest of rare case, if any devil doesn’t have money, once in power, he makes his pile just in five years not only for himself but for his seven generations. Devil continues to get richer and richer year after year that too surprisingly, without any material business. Devils  have mind boggling power to digest; they can chew and fart out at the same time. Even the most-scared  IT department is afraid of devils. If by the turn of fate, something goes wrong, a devil’s worst is far better than the best of a common man.

If a cat has nine lives, a devil has eighteen. An ordinary man may die of a  petty malaria,  Devil survives successfully kidney, liver transplants and even multiple heart surgeries. The most of the old foggies are alive and kicking even in their 80s and 90s. The dreaded terrorists  can attack the convoy of soldiers easily, but they seldom dare to touch the cavalcade of a Devil. Undoubtedly, even death thinks ten times before claiming the life of a Devil, maybe,  out of natural reasons.

Common man  believes  Devils  are above the law; even the Supreme Court, predominantly, remains busy in settling the cases  of Devils  only. A Devil can get Supreme Court gates opened even in the dead of night, and  commoners  cases are  dragged  on for years with date after date. A Devil is seldom convicted, for, his accomplices remain ready to take the blame for any crime committed by the Devil. Thousands are incarcerated in jails for petty crimes or as under trials, but a devil manages  to get bail. Devils are not only lawmakers but they are law unto themselves.

A Devil never gets  old or retires  until the bitter end of life. Even with one foot in grave, he can contest the election. If he loses Lok Sabha, he can manage to enter the Parliament through back door, Rajya Sabha. And thus a Devil becomes an institution in himself. By the quirk of fate, if any Devil dies, he is  declared as Martyr.

Devils are just promise peddlers. They never keep up their promises. Jobs can be created, if India like China becomes a manufacturing country. Wealth can be created, if exports are increased; natural resources are harnessed technologically. By promising doles, Devils  want to make people beggars; they don’t want to provide them economic independence.

On the stage, a devil sounds as a  servant of the people but off the stage, he turns into a Satan. Devils fight against one another in public. But in private life,  they all are close buddies. To a Devil, public is like an old woman who can maunder and mumble, can’t do anything. Except on the day of voting, the people are just a trash/scrap. This is how devils  continue to rule the people in the name of so-called democracy. The ‘coalition’ government formed by Devils by holding each other’s  hands is a Government of the Devils  by the Devils for the Devils, not for the Welfare of the People.

No devil is Devta. Some are more devilish than others. So cast your vote judiciously. Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know.

A Portrait of PM

A Portrait of PM

The people don’t want any Lame duck, Accidental PM, ‘Pappu’ PM or any ‘Family’ PM; they want a peerless leader of democracy – a true PM of India who can make both nation and its people happy; he must be spotless like star
By Mukesh Sharma

Democracy begins with the ‘votes’ and ends with the ‘numbers’ in India. Anyone with numbers in his/her favour can be anointed as Prime Minister/ Pradhan Mantri even without contesting or winning a single Lok Sabha election. Not the common wish of the people but the coveted numbers cobbled up by hook or crook make one PM. And that is why India has witnessed with awe and rues many sitting duck PMs -   Indra Kumar Gujral, H.D. Deve Gowda, Chandra Shekhar, Charan Singh, Morarji Desai, Guljarilal Nanda who couldn’t last even their full term. Before the incumbent government, India had a PM who never won any Lok Sabha election and remained allegedly a “PROXY” PM for 10 years. Keeping in view the recent Kolkata jamboree and if media reports are to be believed, India may be foisted with a “pappu” PM in future. It is vain to look for silver and gold in the mine of iron and lead. However, the majority of Indian populace cherishes an ideal portrait of an Indian PM.
Prime Minister 2019

Charismatic personality
With charm and charisma, PM must be blessed with charismatic personality. Standing tallest among the leaders, his gait must exude confidence of a disciplined soldier. With elated chest and head in high-esteem, he must be able to see the world leaders straight in their face and command a respect; grey in experience but with a young heart of gold.

Man of soil
The people ideate a PM who must be the man of soil; he must look at the rivers and mountains of land with the reverence; he must be very well acquainted with all the ‘seasons’ and ‘crops’; he must have the knowledge of all the flora and fauna of the land; he must know how to make the ‘marigold’ bloom and flourish even in the roughest weather, and hold it with all care and caress. To him, Bharat must not just be a piece of land with geographical boundaries but a motherland and her honour dearer than life.

Man of masses
As a man of masses, would-be PM must be able to interact with the people in their simple tongue; he must understand not only their requirement of hours but also the demand of the future; he must know their wants and wishes; he must feel their pain and pleasure.

A good salesman
Under the steermanship of PM, Indian soil must produce more than the people can consume; factories must manufacture more than the people need to enable India to have a sizable share in foreign trade. China has made remarkable progress due to its manufacturing units ever churning out everything from needle to rocket for the world market. It is a fact that all the big and prosperous nations owe their prosperity to small and poor nations. All the heads of rich countries also look after the political and commercial interest of their respective countries while maintaining the relations with developing or underdeveloped nations. To rich nations, the poor nations are just customers. Indian PM must also be a good ‘salesman’; he must be able to generate orders in international market for Indian products. PM must see that national debt must be paid through the prosperity of the people; he must see that the money must be made not by law but by labour. PM’s entire team must be engaged in earning wealth for the country and spend it for the welfare of the people.

A man of courage
The people wish to see their PM as a man of superb moral courage who prefers reformations to radicalism; a man of intelligence; a man of integrity above suspicion; he should not be just a good leader but also a good statesman; he should be a diplomat of par excellence who knows well how to maintain relations of his government with the government of other nations, keeping the interest of own country at top.

A Commander
During war time, God forbids, if war is imposed on India, PM must be able to act like a commander; a silver tongue orator like Demonsthene leading the people and army from the front; must be able to goad the armed forces to achieve even impossibilities, and make the countrymen stand-by the army like bedrock.

The hapless Indian populace has already suffered a lot. The Britisher ravaged and plundered for 200 years. And now the people allege that ‘netas’ have been looting and booting the poor populace since independence. The people are sick of ‘POLITICS’ of crimination, recrimination, name-calling, self-preservation, self-aggrandizement and ‘gang-fight’ in the august House of the Parliament. The people wish to live as a respectable member of public rather than as beggars living off government doles.

Needless to say,the people don’t want any lame duck PM, accidental PM, “Pappu” PM or any “Family” PM; they want a peerless leader of democracy – a true PM of India who can make both nation and its people happy; he must be spotless like star.
