Is God Doing His Job?

Is God Doing His Job?

No religion is perfect. It won’t be wrong to say that the imperfect religions have done more harm than good to humanity. Man is killing man for sheer religious supremacy

By Mukesh Sharma

Anything which is beyond the comprehension of human mind, is considered as the work of God; an act of God. Where logic ends, God emerges. That is why the faithful of different faiths believe: God is omnipotent. God is omniscient. God is omnipresent. But the moron mind of this blogger doubts the veracity of such lofty statements, particularly, when one looks around and sees the mindless killings, massacres and the atrocities  committed by man on man across the world. No need to go beyond India. What eye doesn’t see, heart doesn’t grieve. Look at the recent brutal butchering of a happy family of three – Bondhu Gopal 35, his 8 month pregnant wife 30 and their 8 year old minor son, in Murshidabad, a muslim majority locality in West Bengal. The pics of hacked dead bodies which are doing rounds on social media, send chill down the spine, and are more macabre than the scene of Hollywood horror movie. It is not difficult to understand that the split of second before death each hapless victim must have thought of God; must have made last ditch effort; must have hoped for a miracle; must have squirmed like an unfortunate animal slaughtered by the butcher. But nobody turned up, no help arrived from any quarter. A pertinent question arises in the mind of poor common man: Is God doing his job?

Hapless Victim of Religion

The severed head with open lifeless eyes just hinging on torso, lying on the ground with blood splattered all over, and deep cuts on the body of the deceased are the tell-tale sign of ghastly battle for life more repulsive than the hunt by animals which kill their prey for food. The two legged animal so-called man is the most ferocious, for, he can kill another man just for his ego, jealousy, greed, libido or religion. Animals can be trusted but not a man. After axing the man of the family, the killer must have turned to the woman. Though she was 8 months pregnant and was in the bed, the killers opened her neck with no mercy  before she could move, and left her lying in the pool of blood on the bed itself. After that, the killers  must have turned to the innocent 8 year old child who had witnessed the killing of its parent with stupor, and the poor child was also done to death by slitting the throat. The cime scene shows that the killers  have  put to shame even the most heartless and horrific Mongol emperor Changez Khan.

What aches the heart of this blogger is  the selective attitude and response of so-called ‘intellectuals’ who raise hell at the drop of the hat; return awards; hold candal march; and write letters to PM only for a particular community. It is these self-styled custodians   of society who sow the seed of schism for their selfish ends.

It is said that the deceased Bondhu Gopal was an active member of RSS. It is alleged that he was an eyesore to a particular  community, which is in majority in Murshidabad. However, the local police denies any political or religious angle behind the gruesome killings. Whatever, may be the reason, the three innocent lives have been put to death in a country that has government, police, and judiciary by the fearless killers who are still at large. Barring the non entity, no ‘big’ netas has come forward to make strong statement. As always, netas are overbusy in their ‘political game'. To netas, people are just a scrap or trash after the date of election. A twitteriti rightly says:
“Congress makes government on the dead bodies of its leader, and BJP on the dead bodies of its workers.”

M.K. Gandhi says: “No religion is perfect.” It won’t be wrong to say that the imperfect religions have done more harm than good to humanity. Man is killing man for sheer religious supremacy. Self-styled religious leaders are misguiding the poor populace. The weak are easy target of their religious leaders. Hope is the staple diet of the weak. And the God is the best source of hope as propounded by fables, parables and mythological stories. Surprisingly enough, the brainwashed people want to die in the service of their God. All the religion believe God is the creator of this universe; God is the father of this world; all are equal in the sight of God; God takes care of his children. If it is so, is God doing his job?

Hope Sells Like Hot Cake

Hope Sells Like Hot Cake

After the Almighty God who is the great peddler of hope,
the grasping netas come the next

By Mukesh Sharma

Hope, esteemed readers would agree with this blogger that the hope is the most-sought after ‘commodity’ that has 6.5 billions always ready ‘buyers’ on the earth; it is not manufactured in any material factory; it has no fixed price-tag; the poorest of the poor can ‘buy’ it; sometimes, the richest of the rich fails to buy it. Be it indigent or affluent, it is the inevitable need of all. The man can’t think of going without it in life; it is the staple diet of breathing life; it is as indispensable as oxygen; it is the fulcrum of the wheel of human life. Nothing sells like hope in this world; it sells like hot cake.

Teeming millions, just hoping against hope

What is more, hope is non-tangible like thoughts yet can be realized; it is weightless like air yet can carry any weight; it is countless like stars yet can be numbered; it is shapeless like universe yet can be recognized; it is motionless like concentration yet can travel through time; it is invisible like belief yet can be seen in all beings; it is deathless like soul yet dies every split second to be born again.

What is noteworthy, hope is conceived in present, it is born in future; it is born from the womb of endless possibilities. The people call it by different names: Expectation, Aspiration, Dream, Optimism, Sanguine, Upbeat and Crossed-fingers.

In this well-guarded family of HOPE, head of the family is the father, Man and Possibility, the mother, a housewife. The couple, the proud parents of Hope, is also blessed with seven deadly beautiful daughters: Pride, Greed, Lust, Jealousy, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth, the real sisters of Hope and four humble sons: Fortitude, Determination, Perseverance and Patience, the noble brothers of Hope. The young men often fall for the beauty of sisters of Hope and lose the right track in life; whereas the bosom friends of brothers of Hope can achieve even impossibilities.

It won’t be an exaggeration that hope is life and hopelessness is cessation of life – death. Life shuttles between action and hope. Happiness is hope in sorrow. Success is hope in failure. Victory is hope in defeat. Woman is hope in man. Life is hope in death. Modi is hope in BJP. Rahul Gandhi is hope in Congress. Obviously, hope is an easy optimism for the hope.

This blogger has satisfactory evidence to mention here that all socalled professionals sell nothing but hope to their ‘customers’; selling hope is their bread and butter. A Doctor sells hope to patient. A Lawyer sells hope to his client. A Chartered Accountant sells hope to businessman. An Educational institute sells hope to student. LIC (life insurance Corporation of India) is a well known dealer of hope in India, selling variety of hopes to the insured even after death.

With due apology to believers/faithfuls, this blogger must say if the role of so-called omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent God is observed closely, it appears that ‘He’ is the biggest seller of hopes. He has millions of ‘outlets’ recognized by the man as Temple, Mosque, Gurudwara and Church. Tens of thousands throng these so-called religious places to ‘buy’ hopes from God; people repose trust in ‘branded’ hopes. The opulence of the God’s ‘shops’ proves beyond doubt that brisk business of selling hopes goes on at all the outlets.

After God, next comes the glib tongue so called hon’ble netas across the world; they are the best salesmen who can sell hope even to a dead man – the Statue of Unity (the statue of Iron man of India revered Sardar Patel, who is said to have united scattered states into monolithic India during post independence period) is the latest shining example. The much talked about INC (Indian National Congress) allegedly a personal property of ONE FAMILY, has been successfully selling hopes to always cheated and betrayed poor Indian populace for decades and has ruled the country for over 40 years. And now, the ‘hopeful’ scion of ‘Gandhi’ family is out to sell hopes – a family business.

A close study reveals that the diabolic democracy is creaking under the weight of shop-soiled heaps of hopes. The constitution and laws seem to be mere pretenses to sell hopes. Disaffection, intrigue and corruption have reached the colossal proportion but the hapless people have no option but to ‘buy’ hopes for the hope. Needless to say hope has become a sinew of happiness for miserable millions in India. And wily netas are well acquainted with this fact. Hope-selling has become their family business. Hope sells like a Hot-cake.

Rahul Gandhi God-incarnate?

Humour

Rahul Gandhi God-incarnate?
“I seek out those in pain and embrace them. I erase hatred and fear. I love all living beings.”

By Mukesh Sharma

In an interview to a vernacular newspaper, the Congress Supremo Rahul Gandhi is reported to have said: “Congress is the party of the Muslim.”  To take the political leverage of the seemingly catchy statement, ever ready the sharpest knife of BJP Samit Patra rushed to favorite and favorable TV channels and pronounced his speaking judgment that Rahul Gandhi had played the communal card and had tried to polarize the populace which was a threat to secular fabric of India, and it did debunk the pseudo-secularism of Congress party . . . .blah blah.
Smelling the perceptible danger of alienating the majority Hindus, Rahul Gandhi quickly posted a great and grand TWEET:
“I stand with the last person in the line. The exploited, marginalized and the persecuted. Their religion, caste or belief matter little to me. I seek out those in pain and embrace them. I erase hatred and fear. I love all living beings. I am the Congress.

Virat Swaroop of Rahul Gandhi

The tone and tenor of the tweet reminds me of Lord Krishna’s divine discourse where in X chapter of the Bhagwad Gita, Sloka 32, while revealing His Virat Swaroop (the colossal manifestation of the Self) to confused and cathartic Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurushetra, He says:
“Of creation, I am the beginning, the end and also the middle, O Arjuna; of the science (I am) the science of the self; of those who debate I am the dialect.”

Looking at the Virat Swaroop of Rahul Gandhi portrayed through the words, Rahul Gandhi detractors are in jittery. They fear Rahul Gandhi might don the garb of a saint in future. He may have the large following of disciples rather than Congress workers.
I too salute Rahul Gandhi with folded hands for his Virat Swaroop! May He be merciful to all the creation and creatures. Moral: nothing is impossible for a neta.
