Beware of deadly ‘MY’
Beware of Deadly ‘MY’
MY of Daughter-in-law divides family. MY of Caste divides the people. MY of Religion divides society. MY of Country divides Humanity. . . . A bitter truth about life
Born with ‘my’, man struggles for his ‘my’
through all his living years and at the end of day, the ghost of 'my' leaves the
body of man only in crematorium or burial ground
By Mukesh Sharma
My is a bridge through which a man/woman crosses over the ever streaming river of society to reach the subject/object of happiness. What food is to body, happiness is to mind. Happiness is a relative emotion that essentially emanates from inseparable in-built ‘my’ of oneself. Comparatively, stronger my gives happiness and weaker my leads to jealousy and sorrow. Happiness attached to material object is ephemeral as every material thing has its age. Through the journey of life, the object/subject of happiness keep changing until the bitter end. This ‘my’ is indeed deadly
This compulsive ‘My’ is born with one’s birth –
my mom, my dad, my brother, my sister and so on. 'My’ grows with age ; its circumference continues to get larger and larger – from my bottle, my balloon
to my school, my class, my teacher, my bus when one enters the primary school
with the ‘bag’ of 'my.'
![]() |
| Beware of deadly ‘MY’ |
Further, when ‘My’ studies at secondary school. It catches roots in the soil of self-assertion and individuality. Here ‘My’ becomes choosy; it develops unexplained likes and dislikes. And with the development of secondary characteristics – moustache, beard in boys and breast in girls, My graviates towards opposite sex. No escape from natural instinct.
So with the heavy baggage of dreams, lucky My move into college/university. Honored with degrees, few opt to look after family business, a few manage to get lucrative jobs in MNC and blessed ones clear the govt exams and become ‘respected' government servants – good job security, timely good salary , no accountability and chances of handsome ‘earning’ through bribes and cuts if one gets appointed in wet departments.
In this shuffle of life, hundred of thousands fall wayside
and end up as a fodder for the private limited companies particularly in India.
However, with the blessings of deity of luck, working hard in providentially given favorable circumstances, a few shine like stars on the horizon and are
known as Sunder Pichai, Neeraj Chopra, Gautam Adani, Amitabh Bachchan, Narendra
Modi and so on. The blessed are born with silver spoon but majority of
successful people acquire silver spoon by dint of hard work and perseverance.
Keeping fingers crossed, Grooms family wishes that ‘Bahu' ( daughter-in-law) will respect and care for all the elders and youngers; give new strength to family relations, mix up like sugar in milk and become the part of family sharing happiness and sorrow. In turn Bride’s family also wishes that their ‘princess’ will become Queen of their son-in-law; she will get all the respect and love of all the members. After all, she has to carry forward the lineage of the family.
Senior citizens population in India is around 8.6 percent as per 2011 census. The HelpAge India says old homes are on the rise in India.

Sexual Autonomy
Sexual Autonomy
A woman is like a book – alluring cover page, prodding prologue, comforting contents, chivalrous chapters, euphoric epilogue and a banging back blurb. What she needs is a ‘voracious’ reader
By Mukesh Sharma
Right of
self-government, autonomy, sovereignty etc. are the high-pitched words from the
dictionary of politics. What amuses this blogger is the recently coined phrase “sexual
autonomy” by the Hon’ble ‘milords’ of one of the High Courts.
As usual, reacting to the ‘prolific’ petition, Sir Oracle has made a reasoned observation
that the brazen violation of sacrosanct sexual autonomy of women even within
so-called wedlock is tantamount to ‘marital rape’ and the victim has all the rights
to sue her duly wedded husband for the cognizable offense – demanding unquestioning
obedience from the wife is a crime. Surprisingly enough, equating a wife with a sex worker, yet another High Court remarks: “can a wife be put on a lower pedestal than a sex worker who has the
right to say no at any stage.”
| Surrendered Sexual Autonomy |
Though this
blogger’s, comparatively, poor intellect is no match to grandiloquent rhetorical
reasons of Your Lordship which are often couched in long sententious sentences
legally punctuated usually beyond the comprehension of an ordinary soul, this
writer seeks to make a humble submission with all the due respect and
reverence.
Are men and
women really able to have full control or have “sexual autonomy” on the
territory of their respective bodies, once they are sexually charged, once they
are aroused, and once all the erogenous zone are activated?
Are the
terrestrial territory and sexual territory not poles apart? As is obvious that the former can be guarded with gun-toting guys – encroachers, intruders or aliens
without valid ‘Visa and Passport’ are never welcome. And latter, on the
contrary, is pretentiously protected during daylight with the clothes on,
sanctions of society, and fear of law. However in the event of availability of
risk-free ‘opportunity even a ‘gate crasher’ is welcomed. Sexual autonomy is too
weak to ward off any ‘attack’ by saucy seducer or seductress. With a healthy
sexual appetite, all men and women are naked and afraid of love till the
arrival of the ‘opportune time.’
| TOI editorial dated 15.1.2022 |
As far as
man’s sexual autonomy is concerned, he doesn’t like to guard it. Even
proverbial rishi Vishwamitra would
love to lose it (sexual autonomy) for a killer Maneka. Though the man shrewdly pretends to guard it with tacit complicity,
particularly, where there is no opportunity to let any intruder (woman) violate
it, once there is an opportunity he throws open all the gates of sexual territory for
a seductress selectively. Opportunity
gives rise to thoughts, thoughts give rise to desires, and desires lead to
action. Most men/women are saints by daylight and Satan in the dark.
Interestingly
enough, even the security of the sexual territory of women is not foolproof. The border is porous. The boundary wall is low. Moreover, she too doesn’t like to guard it
fully. After the age of consent, she is also ready to open all the portals for
a deserving suitor.
A woman is
like a book – an alluring cover page, prodding prologue, comforting contents, chivalrous
chapters, euphoric epilogue, and a banging back blurb. What she needs is a ‘voracious’
reader.
The coy,
calm, comfortable, and civilized woman may turn out to be the most clamorous and
clumsy on the bed. Once aroused, she wants to engulf man like a hydra. A
volcano is silenced only after the lava is split out. Most of the manly men
are dejectedly defeated by the ‘she-devil’ on the bed. The ocean can’t be
covered with a bedsheet. The gravitational pull of the black hole is so
intense that the poor man like a midget is sucked into the vast whirlpool – it’s
like a free fall from space. Even death can’t deter him. Once the moonwalk is
over, a man falls on the earth.
A man is welcomed,
like a long-awaited guest into the ‘castle’ during the moment of Elysian action
– a divine bliss of heaven. As soon as ‘ammunition’ is exhausted and guns
are dismounted, man is forced to dispose the courted ‘castle’. And the sexual
autonomy is ruefully restored.
Furthermore,
marriage is nothing but a celebration of coitus. The institution of marriage is
popular for, it provides maximum opportunities to have sex with minimum fear.
Sex is a natural necessary act between man and woman where both enjoy heavenly
pleasure, where a taker is a giver and a giver is a taker, and where the unbridled
consent flows freely in favorable circumstances and situations when two adults
with dying ‘hunger’ fling on the bed.
To be
honest, this blogger has intuitive apprehension that a fair trial can be
conducted by Your Lordship in this intricate matter of SEX – all know it, feel it, experience it generation after generation but
none can claim to have mastered it – a divine providence - nature may be the creation of God but sex essentially is its driving force.

Bridging the Gaps
Bridging the Gaps
Bridging gaps after gaps makes one move to more and more congenial circumstances one after the other, and eventually one realizes one’s dream, and achieves one’s goal
By Mukesh Sharma
Up in the
endless expanse of the universe, all the planets and stars exist in their
respective places assigned by Mother Nature with discernible gaps. Down on the
earth, giant mountains steadfastly stand with deep depressions. Even in human
world, each man is born at a distinctive place with challenging gaps. To man,
progress lies in bridging the gaps after gaps – each crest is followed by trough, each piece of knowledge is preceded by the chunk of ignorance and each
answer is led by hordes of questions. Progress is an endless journey through gong
buoy and gaps.
| Bridging the Gap |
Ancient
rishis, Mahavira, and Buddha taught the world to bridge the gap between man and
God through spirituality.
Albert
Einstein made his best efforts to bridge gaps between earth and celestial
bodies through his ‘theory of relativity; Stephen Hawkins tried his level best
to bridge gaps with his well-reasoned hypothesis of ‘big bang theory’ and ‘black
holes’.
With the
acquired knowledge and material advancement, man landed on moon decades ago.
The rover is already treading on the Mars. The Parker solar Probe has reached
near the ever blazing Sun and incredibly touched its magnetic field. Bridging
the gaps after gaps further, man, no doubt, can dream to travel faster than
light, find out ‘another’ earth and eventually knock at the ‘gate of God’s
abode one day.
By Human
scale, particularly, in human society, the journey to coveted success begins
with self – bridging gaps between conscience, conscious mind and subconscious
mind and thus become a monolithic self to move further. The majority of people are
born as commoners but by bridging gaps after gaps through life, they become
men/women of great stature.
Despite his
humble origin, Narendra Damodardas Modi has also struggled a lot to bridge gaps
after gaps in his life – from a tea vendor to school, from school to adolescent,
from adolescent to RSS, from RSS to BJP, from BJP to common people at large and
today he is the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
Undoubtedly,
man is born in a circumstances surrounded by many gaps. Bridging gaps after
gaps lead one to another better circumstances. Further the new circumstances
also come with many gaps. Bridging gaps after gaps makes one move to more and more
congenial circumstances one after the other and eventually one realizes ones dream
and achieves one’s goal. It is like a climb on the ladder where each rung up
the ladder is preceded by a gap and down succeeded by a gap. Thus an upwardly
mobile, rung after rung reaches the roof top.
So, to
start with bridge the gap between yourself and ego, and thus become one strong
self. Further, Bridge gaps with people around – relatives, neighbor, friends
and even unknown people with due respect and humility. One never knows whom one
might need in what circumstances. Even Bhagwan Ram had to seek the help of
Simians.
Success is
nothing but an art of bridging gaps within and outside, building bridges and
their proper maintenances.

The Lightless Diwali
The Lightless Diwali
Morning begins with posting of already many times forwarded message with pics of diyas and sweet to all friends far or near. Devoid of true spirit, the messages are dumped like garbage
By Mukesh Sharma.
Gone are the days when the much-awaited and talked about Diwali was a festival of shine and serenity, fanfare and feast, cuisine and costumes, gay and gaiety, clamor and crackers and light and lustre.
All the households would be cleaned out and white-washed
signifying the wiping out the ego and jealousy, and white washing the ‘mistakes’
with forgive and forget spirit. Deity of Hanuman would be worshipped in the
morning and the offerings of mashed puri
and batasha would be distributed in the neighborhood. Home cooked dainty
dishes would be made – no use of tawa
(hotplate) for the next few days.
Attired in best clothes, kids, women, and men would visit one another’s houses in the evening and exchange wishes and sweets. Overexcited kids would place earthen lamps on the parapet and wait anxiously for the fireworks after Lakshmi poojan (worship).
In fact, Diwali was a festival of collective celebration
promoting social bonhomie. Irrespective of caste, creed, and religion, it was a pure
festival of light – the light of fellow feelings, light of amity and comity,
and the light of mutual love and respect all over.
| Lightless Digital green Diwali |
Unfortunately, now that divine Diwali has been replaced with deranging DIGITAL DIWALI. Morning begins with posting of already many times forwarded message with pics of diyas and sweet to all friends far or near. Devoid of true spirit, the messages are dumped like garbage. The relatives with sick ego seldom make first move even in posting messages. They often wait for other’s message and then respond selectively. No personal call and no personal visit. However, parents of married off daughters do visit with gifts and blessings, if their daughters are in the same city.
What pains this blogger to observe that over the years, Diwali has also become a business in this shop-keeping society – give and take – just hollow words empty of meanings.
Netas use Diwali to shore up their pro-Hindu image and show off their secular credentials. Though high ranking government officials, particularly, in vet departments and ministries enjoy freebies all the year, they receive fabulous gifts on Diwali from the well-known vested interest for the reason best known to them only. To a commoner, Diwali is customary and compulsory occasion to buy material happiness within manageable reach, for each member of the family. To a household maid, Diwali is an occasion of expectation for a better ‘pot-luck’. To street children, it is an occasion for hope for stomach-full of food with some sweet received from some good Samaritan and generous souls.
On the above, to our learned 'milords' Diwali is said to be a "stupid" festival of deadly noise pollution, light pollution, and environmental
pollution.
This new digital Diwali doesn’t dispel the darkness of ego, greed, wrath, envy, gluttony, lust and sloth. On the contrary, it gives shelter to all the seven deadly sins. Diwali has become lightless like a city plunged into darkness after the 'power failure'.

Is Sunday Really a Holiday?
Is Sunday Really a Holiday?
There is no Sunday for an anxious young girl preoccupied with
possibilities and their possible results going on her first date; no Sunday
for curious young man rife with speculations for an opportunity to encroach on
the forbidden 'territory' of a young girlfriend
By Mukesh Sharma
To a common man, Sunday is the most awaited day after a week-long tussle of life, particularly, in the context of India; it is like an oasis in the endless desert of drudgery; it is rejoiced as an OFF DAY in the most parts of the world. With relentless rolling of the wheel of the TIME, Sunday falls after seven days on the human almanac. The working class, euphemistically, marks Sunday as the King of days. But a few pertinent questions do trickle the mind of this blogger. Is Sunday the same for all the people? Is it really a holiday?
Scratching scrutiny reveals that there is no Sunday for a wishful wife; no Sunday for a harnessed husband; no Sunday for pitiable parents struggling to give their kids the best.
There is no Sunday for the minion milkman; no Sunday for the vegetable vendor; no Sunday for the nursing newspaper vendor; no Sunday for diligent daily wage earners.
There is no Sunday for the always functional farmers; no sunday for lower rung officials and constables in police scouting streets day and night with nobody to pat their back for good work; no Sunday for sentinel-soldiers guarding the border under extreme weather conditions on treacherous terrain and territory.
There is no Sunday for an anxious young girl preoccupied with possibilities and their possible results, going on her first date; no Sunday for curious young man rife with speculations for an opportunity to encroach on the forbidden 'territory' of a young girlfriend.
There is no Sunday for a streetwalker waiting for a right customer who would pay the full price of her modesty and dignity; no Sunday for rag pickers out with a sack on the shoulder to pick plastic stuff from the heap of garbage; no Sunday for the street beggars set on a begging spree at assigned red lights of the city.
There is no Sunday for the prying Pride, garrulous Greed, wretched Wrath, enticing Envy, lumpet Lust, gobbling Glutton, and slacking Sloth. Not to speak of Sunday, all work overtime for their self preservation.
There is no Sunday of deathless Hope; no Sunday for devil desires. Even God is surprised at their modus operandi and modus Vivendi.
There is no Sunday for the beating heart; no Sunday for thinking Mind; no Sunday for puffing Breath; No Sunday for the libertine Liver; No Sunday for the kind kidneys; No Sunday for ever-flowing blood in artery and veins; no respite even for a split of a second.
There is no Sunday for respected Rahul Gandhi, perhaps, busy in working out 'positive' strategies for the propulsion of INS; it is not his fault that each time 'positivity' results in negativity; he believes in 'action' not in its fruit. If the people don't understand Rahul Gandhi, it is their fault, he can't help.
There is no Sunday for our venerable and Hon'ble Prime Minister Modi Ji. Like a supercomputer, the insiders reveal that Modi remains on all the time. Modi's opponents allege that he remains busy in collecting data and fudging it; he remains busy in juxtaposing facts with fiction and serve it to people with unparallel oratorical skill. No Sunday even for the ever-growing grey beard of Modi. Over the months, he has become more enigmatic than charismatic. The common people opine with a pinch of salt that they never expected that their charismatic leader will turn into a calm and quiet BABA — a unique effect of power on Modi — never seen in the annals of India.
There is no Sunday even for God. He is not happy with the man on earth who has betrayed his trust. God is worried about the existence of man on earth, for the man has sowed the seed of self-destruction. So God is busy planning a new life on some other planet far away in another galaxy. God has no hope for the man on the earth.
To conclude, there is no Sunday for all and sundry including God except for so-called government servants; it is blessed 'breed' among human beings. The commoners allege that govt. servants in India are simply a chair warmer and clock watcher, particularly, the black sheeps; they work for the public, allegedly, in return for 'money' only; their monthly salary credited to their account from govt is a monetary honor for being in government service. To black sheeps in government service, it is not only Sunday but all days are Sunday — they are Sunday unto themselves.
With all due respect, this moron blogger would like to tell the government servants that if you are able to sit and sip tea in the comforts of your home with your family on Sunday, mind you, you owe this Sunday to millions of people who have no Sunday; you must thank them all; you must thank God also. you are blessed; you are lucky.
Sunday is not really a holiday for all!

Beware of Black Sheeps in Medical Profession
Beware of Black Sheeps
in Medical Profession
"The game begins with the admission and ends either with discharge
or death - rules are always kept secret. Even a death by negligence is, successfully, buried in the bunch of papers. A doctor can commit 'murder' with
impunity"
By Mukesh Sharma
The orchestrated rampant corruption is no longer an issue in 'constitutionally' managed democracy in India. The hapless and hopeless teeming millions are perforce to accept it (corruption) as an inalienable part of so-called 'work culture.' Needless to say, the vast medical profession is not an exception. Right from regulatory body Medical Council of India now defunct due to alleged irregularities, replaced by National Medical Commission, through 60 percent private medical colleges out of total 600, owned by influential people, managed by need-based policy, the giant Pharma companies with all 'ingenuity' for profit, and ever catering to the rich the five star hospitals down to 'degree holder' practicing doctors, all are getting richer and richer, allegedly, with malpractices with scant regard to public spirit and health in abject violation of Hippocratic Oath.
![]() |
| Medical Negligence |
Lawful loot goes on and on, and even Hon'ble Courts remain
mute spectators. Beware of highly 'placed' and well organized 'black sheeps' in
medical profession in India.
Until September 25, 2020, Medical Council of India was a regulatory body for medical profession and practice. But due to charges of irregularities and inefficiency, it has been replaced by an umbrella regulator called National Medical Commission (NMC) under NMC Act 2019. A 'chameleon' can change its color but not character. Professional solidarity often enjoys biggyback ride over professional integrity — a common man can't dare to give voice to his/her complaint.
Though admission to all medical colleges are made through NEET conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency), it is alleged that private medical colleges often 'manage' admissions, and seats with price tags are sold out to the highest bidders. That is why all moneyed doctors are able to make their son\daughters doctors easily for the sustenance of flourishing 'family business'. The professional integrity of such 'imposed' doctors remains doubtful.
Despite global recession, India's domestic pharma market which was Rs. 128 crores in 2018, reached Rs.1.4 lakh crore in 2019. The most of the companies sell their products under high priced 'brand names' on the pretext of combination of medicines. In US, medicines are sold by its generic names only separately not in combination. Here in India, a 'branded' medicine is sold at a price 20 times higher than generic price — an open loot where authorities / govts, chemists and doctors share the 'booty'. The poor are bled to dry.
The documents reveal that the most of the private hospitals are run by lawfully formed charitable Trusts availing all the govt. concessions. But the charity begins at home and ends at home only. Rest is pure business — from a small nursing home to five star hospitals. High price is no guarantee of high quality.
If one loses one's patient, its ones bad luck. And if one returns alive, credit goes to 'treatment'. "The 'game' begins with the admission and ends either with the discharge or death — the rules are always kept secret. Even a death by negligence is 'professionally' buried in the bunch of papers. A doctor can commit even a 'murder' with impunity." says a victim ruefully.
As per Ministry of Health and family Welfare, there were total 12,01,134 registered allopath doctors between September 30, 0219 to April 2, 2020. Furthermore, nearly 50,000 doctors are added to tally each year in India. The most of qualified doctors are either gainfully employed or running their own lucrative business of 'treatment' because of the huge demand — the ratio is 1:1000 (one doctor per 1000 people). It is because of huge shortage, the people extensively rely on alternative system of medicines - Homeopathy and Ayurveda.
Be it Allopathic, Homeopathic or Ayurvedic doctors, the black sheeps abound in this sacred medical profession, particularly in India, successfully running their ' business'. Irrespective of relief/result, the 'products' sell like hot cake because of high demand - a TINA situation where the confused ailing people keep hopping from one doctor to another with the hope against hope for relief. However, docs continue to roll in money.
Apart from profitably employed in hospitals where they, allegedly, boss over the patients playing like a God unto themselves, enjoying absolute freedom for unaccountable action with all immunity from legal action, private practitioners/doctors too behave not less than self styled lords.
A disgruntled patient contends that an allopathic private practioner with some reputation is more interested in number of patients visiting him — Rs.1000-1500 per patient. Based on 'rational therapy', he/she prescribes medicines without bothering to tell either any side effects or knowing much about the medical history of the patient. The most of 'successful' docs now have their own extensively used equipments and maintain own medical store— prescribing medicine of brands for the reasons best known to them and patronizing the pharma companies in return of generous freebies. These docs seldom receive or respond to call of their patients personally for fearing of losing the 'fee'. If in emergency something goes wrong, they ask the patient to rush to hospital.
Ayurvedic docs who rely heavily on symptoms, do prescribe medicine for a long term treatment — no hope for immediate relief. Furthermore, the most of docs ask for 'Panchkarma' therapy in their clinic. Victims allege that very often they have felt cheated.
Though homeopathic treatment too depends on symptomatic history of the patient from mind to body, they too behave like allopaths — prescribe standardized homeopathic medicines keeping in view the existing complaint of the patient. Interestingly, homeopathy is the most preferred destination of ambitious women aspiring to prefix their names with respectable noun ' doctor'.
Anyway, all doctors continue to make money, allegedly, without any accountability /responsibility. A doc owes a duty of care to his/her patient to provide treatment in line with the medical standard care.
Broadly speaking, the most of the doctors, allegedly make experiments with the patients using newly introduced medicines by Pharma company with vested interests. Despite all that no case is made out for evident MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE — Misdiagnose - failing to diagnose a condition correctly can lead to unnecessary sufferings, Surgical Negligence, Prescription Error, Negligent Medical Advice.
These malpractices have become common place in India, usually, perpetrated by 'black sheeps' in the profession. Though there is no dearth of dedicated and devoted doctors, it is the black sheeps who bring a bad name to otherwise a noble profession. Such people must be brought to justice. The Constitution endorses Right to live. Beware of black sheeps in medical profession.

An open letter to Respected Modi Ji
An Open Letter to
Respected Modi Ji
No doubt, with
concerted and collective effort of 1.35 billion, India can go north and regain its pristine crowning glory. And the people look at you as a lodestar
By
Mukesh Sharma
Respected Sir,
I hope to be pardoned for my zeal to pen down this open letter in a hopeful attempt to attract the attention of Your Goodself in
the largest interest of the bemused and confused common man.
Whenever I watch Your Gracious Self on TV channels making political speeches or delivering talks on some serious issue before the select audience, my eyes, unconsciously, get set on your fearless face bubbling with elan and exactitude; your well-combed grey hair falling on the neck gives the reflection of a Greek philosopher; your broad shining forehead makes you a solemn saint; your deep enigmatic eyes seem to be looking beyond the prevailing present; your grey high eyebrows with intuitive intellect exude goodwill; the overall glow of health on your charismatic countenance, evidently, shows that you are free from the deadly human diseases like anger, jealousy, ego, affections, and desires. Hypnotized by the halo, I wonder how a man in public life can maintain such a holistic health in this age of contradictions, conflictions, and clashes of interest.
![]() |
| The Hon'ble Prime Minister Modiji |
By your own candid admission, you left your home at
an early age, renounced the worldly life and spent years in solitary prayer
and meditation visiting and seeking blessings of many enlightened gurus/yogins
for spiritual experience - the realization of the immortal aspirations through
this mortal frame, the achievement of the divine life through intellectual
consciousness.
Sir, renunciation means the absence of desires. As far
as a common man is concerned, each action is caused by some desire or attachment.
This writer is at loss to understand what made you to abandon the spiritual
pursuit halfway. What prompted you to take a U-turn from the divine course of
spirituality to this demeaning politics?
Being in public life and also as a human being how
you liberate yourself from the tyranny of body, the tyranny of desires and cope
with the crisis of contrition.
In one of your public interviews, you have revealed
that you live a very strict disciplined life - daily yogic exercise, simple vegetable
food, porridge (khichri) as supper,
and to crown all just three hours deep sleep.
Yogins maintain that self-discipline is not a matter
of intelligence; it is a matter of will and emotions. Self-discipline is easy
where there is a vision of the Highest. Here, the highest signifies, if I am not
mistaken, of supreme God.
As a yogi-turned-politician holding the topmost
post of Hon'ble PM of India, what inspires you to live such a 'disciplined'
life.
To be honest, your journey from a tea-vendor to the
top statesman sounds like a tale from fairyland. People contend that it is not
possible without some divine blessings. Despite primary education in a village
school and no regular academic studies in any big college/university, you are
the best, the brightest, the wisest - leader of the leaders not only in India
but at the world forum. How is it possible?
People maintain that you have blessings of Maa Saraswati (goddess Minerva) - the gift
of gab. You know how to conquer the stage and command the respect of the audience -
no stage phobia, no faux-pas, so fearless and in full control of yourself and
your spoken words. You are unsurpassed in oration. It is your oratorical
triumph that has saddled BJP in power. People wish to know how one can develop
such art of eloquence. What is the secret?
It is common knowledge that you are a staunch
nationalist - a votary of Bharat Mata, the mother of 1.35 billion. Bharat
flows in your blood. You breathe Bharat. You live Bharat.
It is maintained that the countries have been made
by God but nations have been made by man. Each nation is ruled by its
handful of able-bodied - intellectually superior rule over the millions. In a democratic dispensation, such rulers are, ironically described as servants of
people who live like kings and the so-called Masters, the poor people live like
servants - battling for life - fighting with hunger, disease, and poverty endlessly. A common man is of the view that except a day of voting, people are just a scrap.
Disgruntled denizens contend and allege that it is not a democracy but "lootocracy". Recent "Vazegate"
in Maharashtra is the glaring example - wolves in sheep clothing can stoop to
any extent. So-called public servant enjoying impunity, lord over the hapless people;
they are seldom punished for an act of transgression - a national sin against the
populace. It is an unpalatable reality that
today 1.35 billion are dead to the feelings of corruption-free India and
incorrupt netas. Don't you ever think that besides the noble thought of
nationalism, there is a need to redress the national grievance in the largest
interest of the people of India, the very purpose of our 'holy' Constitution?
Hopeful people are all praise for your clarion call "vocal for local". But the people allege that it is not easy to put a precept into practice when corruption is rampant. It is an open secret that one can’t do business if one doesn’t know how to keep the ‘hawks’ at the hem of affairs in good humor - the bank, police, local authorities, selectively ever‘vigilant' tax departments that usually keeps the eye shut on the free flow of cash to political parties/netas, and , of course, over and above the local toughs. Not to speak of any established business, an honest vegetable vendor squatting roadside can’t earn his livelihood even by selling vegetables without the 'paid blessings' of local police and municipal authority. Sir, don’t you think that these public extortioners are the real threat to the slogan ‘vocal for local’. Don’t you think Sir that THE SPOIL SYSTEM needs to be changed - radical changes are the need of the hour.
Sir, you know how to live as a commoner with simple clothes, and you also know how to maintain the dignity of the post of Prime Minister of India, and of course the pride and self-esteem of 1.35 billion by wearing clothes that reflect nothing but Indianism. Your excellent dress sense makes the style statement. Sir how a Yogi like you do it?
Is brahmacharya (celibacy) is necessary to lead a disciplined life? Can’t a family man perform his karma with the sense of detachment?
No doubt, with concerted efforts of 1.35 billion, India can go north and regain the pristine crowning glory. And the people look at you as a lodestar.
May you live long and
all blessings follow the sons and daughters of Bharat Mata.
Bharat Mata ki Jai!

Writing Comes From Reading
Writing Comes From Reading
Reading opens the gate of thinking; it lets you explore the other possibilities of thoughts
By Mukesh Sharma
The most difficult thing in the world is to create new thought / idea; sow it in the mind; let it germinate and catch the roots; nurture it well until it flowers and bears the fruits.
Barring a few blessed exceptions, the majority of common souls steal the thoughts from one source or the other; it is further forwarded passing it off as own; some repackage it; and a few smarts plagiaries it claiming brazenly it as their own baby. And In such whirlpool, the original creator of thought / idea is lost without trace.

Many students of this teacher-turned- blogger ask a common question. Why are they not able to think what to write and how to write? They say when it comes to writing, their mind goes blank or they are able to lay their mind on oft-repeatedly stale thoughts only – nothing new, nothing original, and nothing unique, all hackneyed or rotten thoughts.
Usually, this blogger tells his students that writing is serious business, don’t take it lightly; it must be taken seriously, particularly, if you look at the literary works right from Geoffrey Chaucer (the father of English literature) to present day writers. Their works may be different in genre but all have one common quality – all are voracious readers. Of course, good writing emanates from good reading habit only. A well read man can write well.
Reading is like listening to authors; it is like enjoying the swim through the pond of thoughts of a writer; it is like going on hiking and discovering new trees and plants of thoughts. Never shirk reading, whenever, wherever and whatever you find worth-reading, do read it. Watching entertains the mind but reading activates the mind. Watching reveals the possibility. Reading tells you what can be made possible. The most of the successful people in the world are habitual readers.
Warren Edward Buffet, an American investor business tycoon whose net worth is pegged over US 85.6 billion. When someone asked him about the key to success, he said:
“Read 500 pages every day. That is how knowledge works. It builds up like compound interest. All of you can do it but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”
Elon Reeve Musk, the founder CEO and Chief designer of Space X, says he has taught himself to build rocket by reading.
Tony Robbins, an American author, Coach, and Speaker reveals that he grew up with an alcoholic mother and various abusive fathers. He attributes books to saving his life and shaping him into a leader he is today and further says:
“I took a speed reading course and read 700 books in seven years – all on psychology, philosophy, anything that could make difference in life.”
Jawaharlal Nehru was a voracious reader. He would read a lot in jail. The popular and very well acknowledged book and a must read for every Indian, “The Discovery of India” was written by him while serving jail terms during struggle for independence. So was Mahatma Gandhi, a good reader and a great writer. His book “My Experiments with truth” is worth reading.
The great scientist Late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a pride of India whose life is source of inspiration to all, says:
“Books are my favorite friends. And I consider my home library with many thousands books, to be my greatest wealth. Every new book based on some new idea, inspires me and gives me a new thought to pioneer.”
J.k. Rowling, the most celebrated authoress who grew up to write master piece “Harry Potter”, started writing at the age of 6, says:
“I lived for books from the young age. I wanted to become a writer. I had a burning desire to become a writer.”
Barrack Obama, ex-president of US says:
“When I was not working, the weekends would usually find me alone in an empty apartment making do with the company of books”
So this brings home a point that one must read a lot; make it a habit and see how one grows up as a writer. Reading opens the gate of thinking; it lets you explore other possibilities of thoughts. To a non-native speaker of English, it helps to widen the horizon of words and feeds the mind with new syntax / sentences. As for energy one must eat, one must read to write.

An Interview with 2021
An Interview with 2021
"I am Time. I have no beginning, no end. I am
boundless. Except God, nothing is beyond my reach"
By Mukesh Sharma
While enjoying a deep dive in the flowing river of thoughts, this blogger, suddenly, had a weird wish to meet 2021 in human form, and have talks with him. No sooner had the idea flickered than a floating two dimensional transparent image appeared in human form before the eyes sending a tingling sensation down the spine. "Don’t be afraid son" a sonorous voice echoed. “I am Time”. In no time, this blogger summoned his courage to get into conversation with the Time. Here are excerpts of thoughtful and interesting talks:

Pranam 2021! I am blessed to have divine glimpse of Your Gracious Self.
2021
God bless you son! The most of the writers worth their salt are, instinctively, blessed to see invisible and are able to explain even inexplicable. And you belong to the same clan.
Blogger
It’s your blessings and greatness Sir. I am at my wits' end to observe that Your Honor is supposed to be a few days old, but surprisingly enough, you look grown up with awesome sheen and serenity.
2021
Ha, Ha, …. Son, I am Time. I have no beginning, no end. I am boundless. Except God, nothing is beyond my reach. I was there at the moment of creation of this universe. I shall also bear witness to the destruction of this cosmos including your home so called earth. In fact, the clever man has divided, ridiculously, the indivisible time into tiny units – second, minutes, hours, day, week, month, years. decade, century, millennium, ages and so on according to his conceptualized understanding of the earth’s atmosphere and celestial position in relation to a small star what you call the sun – just to ascertain or fix the age of materials things or objects around for the convenience of his understanding.
Blogger
You mean to say that you have no age.
2021
Right, I don’t have age. I am beyond birth and death. I am immortal. I have no motion or movement. I just exist through whole universe. It is the pre-destined age of all the material things present within me (time) which gives the man an illusion of my continuity. I am perennial. I am countless. I am immeasurable. I have no shape or size. I am simply suffused inseparably in nature.
Blogger
Hold your horses Sir . . . I am confused. Would you please spell this out further?
2021
You can understand it in this way. What is a man? Man is a union of soul and body. The neutral soul remains a mute onlooker of all the actions and reactions in or outside the body. The body ages and dies. The day it breathes to last, the soul abandons the body. The soul is ageless and immortal. Lord Krishna beautifully unfolds this secret in the Gita in Sloka 20, Chapter II:
He (soul) is never born, nor does he dies at anytime, nor have (once) come to be, will he again cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, permanent and primeval. He is not slain when body is slain.
Furthermore, as wind is not divisible, as water of the ocean is not divisible, I am also not divisible.

It means that New Year is an illusion; it is new only in almanac. Then why new year is celebrated across the globe?
2021
You see, human mind is obsessed with duality – two opposing aspects of everything – positive and negative that results in paranoia or phobia. Thus human life hinges on hope for the desired‘success’ to overcome the fear. New Year celebration is the celebration of wishful thinking about ensuing events. It has nothing to do with the New Year. Ever fidgeting human mind keeps shuttling from Past through Present to Future and back. It is the duality that creates Past – what has happened and Future – what will happen. It is all about happenings of events in the short span of life of the man. It is not concerned with time.
Blogger
In other words, there is nothing like Past or Future, right.
2021
Of course, there is no Past or Future. There is only Present. Man is born in Present; he lives in Present; and he dies in Present.
Blogger
Sir, would you please elucidate this arcane revelation for the benefit of mankind.
2021
Sure son, time is stagnant. Unlike matter, it has no motion or movement. It’s a hushed observer of happenings or events that keep occurring within it. Each spent-moment in Present, becomes Past, and each unspent moment, is Future. It is the Present that gives birth to Past and the hope in present that creates Future. Try to understand this way. Suppose you take a handful of water from a flowing river, will you call it Present water, Past water or Future water. It’s simple water. Obviously, it would not be just to divide water into Past, Present or Future. On the endless streak of time, there is Past beyond Past; there is Future beyond Future and so on. With constricted knowledge which is usually based on ontology, it is an arduous task for the man to understand the complicated Laws of Nature depending on varied variants in different celestial circumstances, in totality. What seems impossible is based on the principle of Possibility in Nature.
Blogger
It proves that man is essentially a creature of Present?
2021
Right, there is no time like present. Good Karmas in Present make good Past and good Future. The best, the brightest and the wisest work hard in Present and reach the pinnacle of human society. What you call future is very much in the hands of the man. Time is a silent spectator. It is karma in present that makes or mar the life of the man.
This blogger closed his eyes and folded his hand out of reverence, and when he opened his eyes back, the so named 2021 had disappeared. Time waits for none.
